The Crown
His Imperial Majesty Ben Ha’Melek Muja’Dib Jamel El’Sori-Oser VIII is the hereditary head of the Royal House of El’Sori-Oser and the reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Numidoria. The Royal House traces his lineage through eight generations to Prince Abdul Rahman Ibrahima ibn Sori (c. 1762–1829), the historically documented Fula prince from the Fouta Djallon region of West Africa who was taken into enslavement in Mississippi and later restored to freedom.
The ceremonial record of the Royal House includes the 2017 coronation as King of Numidoria, the 2022 elevation as King of the African Diaspora, and the 2025 Imperial Coronation as Senior Emperor of the African Diaspora. These milestones form the documented progression of the Crown within the institutions of the Kingdom.
Structure of the Kingdom
The Kingdom of Numidoria maintains a coherent institutional framework designed to serve the African Diaspora. Its structure includes:
- The Royal House of El’Sori-Oser as the central dynastic and ceremonial authority
- The Office of the Crown and associated royal protocols
- Governmental offices and ministries responsible for administration, foreign affairs, cultural affairs, and related functions
- Constitutional-cultural documents that define internal order and continuity
- Humanitarian, educational, and developmental programs
- Mechanisms for engagement with diaspora communities, traditional authorities, cultural institutions, and external partners
The modern institutional restoration of Numidoria is dated by the Royal House to approximately 2010. The Kingdom presents itself as a contemporary African Diaspora monarchy whose mission centers on cultural preservation, humanitarian service, economic cooperation, and the collective advancement of people of African descent, frequently framed in relation to the African Union’s recognition of the African Diaspora as the Sixth Region.
Self-Determination and the Right to Establish Institutions
The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) affirms foundational principles that support the right of peoples to shape their own cultural and institutional future. Article 3 states that Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination and, by virtue of that right, freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social, and cultural development. Article 4 recognizes that, in exercising self-determination, they have the right to autonomy or self-government in matters relating to their internal and local affairs.
The Kingdom of Numidoria stands on this principle. It asserts that the people and communities who participate in and recognize its institutions possess the right to develop and maintain their own political, cultural, traditional, and organizational structures. The establishment of a Royal House, the conduct of coronations, the creation of ministries and offices, the preservation of genealogical and historical memory, and the building of humanitarian and cultural programs do not require prior authorization from the United Nations or from individual nation-states.
Self-determination is not a claim that every external government must grant diplomatic recognition. It is the recognition that a people have a legitimate voice in determining their cultural, social, economic, and institutional future. Numidoria exercises that voice through the institutions it has built and continues to develop.
Recognition as a Continuum of Relationships
Recognition is not confined to a single form. It exists across a spectrum that includes:
- Internal recognition within the Royal House and its participants
- Community and cultural recognition
- Ceremonial recognition through the Kingdom’s own protocols
- Recognition and engagement by other monarchs, traditional leaders, and royal houses
- Humanitarian and civic acknowledgment
- Institutional, commercial, and developmental relationships
- Formal diplomatic and international-legal recognition
The Kingdom of Numidoria does not presently hold broad diplomatic recognition as a sovereign state under the classical criteria of international law, nor does it hold United Nations membership or observer status on that basis. At the same time, the Royal House maintains that its standing is advanced through the expanding network of relationships it establishes—with other royal and traditional authorities, cultural and community organizations, humanitarian partners, commercial entities, and international contacts.
These relationships constitute real and meaningful forms of engagement. They form part of the Kingdom’s living institutional record. Recognition, in this understanding, is a process that grows through sustained participation, mutual acknowledgment, and the concrete work of building institutions and partnerships.
Kingdom Wealth
Kingdom Wealth refers to the accumulated institutional, cultural, relational, and developmental capital sustained by the Royal House and the communities that uphold it. It includes the continuity of royal tradition, the preservation of historical memory linked to Prince Abdul Rahman Ibrahima ibn Sori, the strength of internal governance structures, the depth of cultural and humanitarian programs, and the network of relationships through which the Crown engages the wider world. This form of wealth is measured by the durability of institutions, the breadth of participation, and the capacity to advance collective continuity across generations.
Closing Position
Numidoria does not claim that United Nations membership is the measure of its people’s identity. It asserts that self-determination gives its people the right to develop their own cultural and institutional future, while recognition is built through the relationships, institutions, and communities that choose to engage with the Kingdom.
The history of the Royal House is documented by its ceremonies, its structures, its lineage claims, its programs, and the people who recognize and sustain it. Questions of formal statehood under international law remain distinct and are evaluated according to their proper criteria. The work of building the Kingdom continues through the institutions it maintains and the relationships it develops.
